The Human Resources Associate serves as the first point of contact for staff and others visiting the Office of Human Resources. The incumbent supports the Office of Human Resources with administrative duties related to benefits and compensation administration, HRIS, payroll, recruitment, compliance reporting and routine office tasks. The Human Resources Associate demonstrates willingness and ability to understand, respect and contribute to the USCCB mission directives and to fulfill job duties in accordance with its Catholic identity.
1) Processes all payroll changes bi-weekly in accordance with the payroll schedule by updating HRIS. This includes benefit deduction changes, employee status changes, equity increases, position upgrades, etc. .
2) Processes new hire paperwork, benefit enrollments and employee terminations
3) Processes all vendor payments
4) Maintains and creates benefit/job/leave codes in HRIS as needed.
5) Maintains electronic timesheet system for all employees; updating employee cost centers/project codes as needed.
6) Monitors paid intern hours and sick leave accrual. Calculates and updates monthly balances.
7) Prepares Employee Salary Change Notification Forms and processes all employment verifications.
8) Greets and welcomes internal and external visitors to the Office. Responds to routine inquiries from staff.
9) Completes other related duties as assigned.
Education : Undergraduate degree
Major Field/Specialty : Human resources, business or related field
Other Specialized Training:
Knowledge of the Catholic Church hierarchy and structure.
Full competence in Microsoft Office Suite, including solid knowledge of spreadsheets.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint helpful.
